Start Keelboat Sailing

Start keelboat sailingAdult 18 hour on-water Sail Canada learn to sail program designed to provide participants with knowledge and skills to crew with other sailors.  Successful participants will receive the Sail Canada SKS certification. 


Keelboat Day Skipper

adult-sailing-002.jpgA 28 hour on-water Sail Canada and Transport Canada course designed to provide participants with the skills necessary to skipper a moderately sized keelboat in moderate coastal conditions.  Successful participants receive their Pleasure Craft Operator's Card (PCOC) and Sail Canada Basic Cruising certification.


Introduction to Racing

adult-sailing-003.jpgAdult 6 hour on-water introduction to racing program designed to provide participants with knowledge and skills to crew with other sailors.  This keelboat course is designed to introduce experienced sailiors to the joys of racing and right of way rules, course strategy including wind shifts and apparent wind angle education.  This non-certificate RBS course is designed to provide basic and fundamental racing skills.  Sailboat racing is a continous learning process and requires independent practice to become proficient. 


Spinnaker Flying

adult-sailing-004.jpgThis 6 hour keelboat course is designed to introduce experienced sailors to spinnaker flying and to help make them competent with rigging, hoisting, flying, gybing and doucing the kite.  The program will be taught using Asymmetrical Spinnakers on retractable sprits.  This non-certificate RBS course is designed to provide basic and fundamental spinnakerskills.  Spinnaker flying is a continuous learning process and requires independent practice to become proficient.
